Roger Kuperways, Ph.D. is a business philosopher, entrepreneur, author and a business coach, consultant, Mentor and advisor.

He has been in business since age 18, owning and operating more than two dozen companies, including a multi-million fashion empire, retail, IT, publishing and marketing. He has been an adjunct professor and a senior lecturer at New York University for more than 25 years, teaching entrepreneurship in the School of Professional Studies. He also lectures on Practical Philosophy.

He is also a public speaker and lecturer at corporate events and trade shows. He is passionate, inspiring, enthusiastic and his contagious energy makes him fun to work with.

Professional Biography  

As an apprentice at Coco Chanel in Paris, Roger started his fashion career and worked there for 5 years while attending night school. He immigrated to the United States at the age of 17. He quickly moved up in the trade while continuing his education studying business and philosophy. He started teaching designing at Mayer School of Fashion Design and Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). He took several evening business classes at Dun and Bradstreet.

After 20 years in the garment industry he decided to liquidate this company and re-invent himself.

In the early 80's he got fascinated with micro-computers and decided to merge computers with his knowledge of the fashion industry. He started Unicon Systems, a company that developed software, system analysis, consulting, and later added Web presence.

He is frequently a guest speaker at NYU and The Learning Annex. He was named "Man of the Year" in the Profile of Success series by NYU. Roger speaks in front of large and small groups for companies, associations and trade shows. For example, he was invited to be a Keynote Speaker at Jacob Javits Center to lecture on starting a business. Over 1,600 people attended this conference.

Personal Biography

Some of his accomplishments include --- Winning a scholarship at the 'Ecole Des Beaux Arts' in Paris (given to 15 of 1,500 entries) at age 9.- Winning the Paris Junior Chess championship at the age of 11 - Acquiring a black belt in Karate - Winning several gold medals in downhill skiing - Representing the United States in several international bridge competitions. He is also a professional Argentine tango teacher and performer.

He speaks English, French, Spanish, Italian, and Yiddish. Roger is a former president of the prominent American Photographic Historical Society, a non-profit organization with members in 167 countries
